Practical information for CPHI exhibitors
CPHI Europe moves between venues: the 2026 edition was held at Fiera Milano and the 2027 edition takes place at Messe Frankfurt, with halls organised by area such as APIs, excipients, contract manufacturing and machinery.
Build-up is concentrated in the days before opening and dismantling starts as soon as the show closes, with working hours and loading slots set out by the organiser in the exhibitor manual. Each venue has its own technical manual and deadlines, so we check the rules for that year’s host venue before the design is finalised.
Venue regulations worth bearing in mind:
- Stand approval: the organiser asks for stand plans and elevations by a set deadline; we prepare and submit them for you.
- Rigging: suspended elements can only be hung through the venue’s official rigging service, with its own load calculation.
- Materials: everything we build meets the venue’s fire-rating rules and travels with its certificates.
- Meeting rooms: at a pharma show most of the stand is about meetings, and enclosed rooms and ceilings count towards the venue’s height and safety rules.
Ideally, book your stand builder 3–4 months before CPHI, whether you need a compact trade show booth or a large island stand: that leaves time for 3D design, plan approval, production and ordering technical services. We build in our Barcelona workshop and ship the stand to Frankfurt by road; our own crew travels to install and dismantle it, and you deal with a single English-speaking contact and one invoice. Do you design and build stands at fairs outside Spain?
Yes. We manage international projects from start to finish, including transport and build-up in Milan, coordinating all logistics with Fiera Milano.
How much does a stand for CPHI cost?
The price depends on the floor space booked, the type of stand (modular or custom), materials, international transport and extras such as lighting or audiovisuals. As a guide, a basic modular stand costs from €3,000–6,000, a mid-size custom stand €20,000–30,000, and premium stands for major international fairs can exceed €100,000. How far in advance should I order a stand for an international fair?
For fairs outside Spain we recommend starting ideally 3–4 months before the show, as transport and logistics coordination have to be added to design, production and build-up.
